Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast is a regional land trust that saves land forever, working to protect the character, natural integrity and biodiversity of the bays, beaches, barrier islands and their watersheds on Florida's Gulf Coast. We partner with landowners, donors, and local government to meet our four priorities: conserving habitat, protecting shoreline and water access, connecting lands, and providing recreational access.
Our youth engagement program at Conservation Foundation is called Youth in Nature. Youth in Nature engages local at-risk youth in our region in a variety of nature experiences. The overarching goal is to create 'Wow!' moments in nature, by providing a range of experiences in our region's spectacular parks and preserves and hopefully catching sight of some of nature's most spectacular creatures. Our hope is that through these incredible nature experiences, youth will create life-long memories, build self-esteem, and instill a love for the natural world.
