Florida Gulf Coast Center for Fishing & Interactive Museum

Fishing can help a child build confidence and independence while teaching them to respect and preserve our marine resources. The Florida Gulf Coast Center for Fishing Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization, was founded in May 2011 and is dedicated to teaching elementary, middle and high school students life’s lessons through angling.

The Center’s “hands on” curriculum encourages students to stay in school and be passionate about whatever career path they choose to follow. The Center’s museum component also celebrates the Gulf Coast’s rich maritime tradition, highlighting local individuals and families who have contributed and advanced Florida’s multimillion dollar commercial and recreational boating and fishing industries.
