Oxbow Kayak Clinic

Join our guide as we teach the basics on kayaking. This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of paddling and then you will have the opportunity to use your new skills for a guided trip. We will paddle the beautiful oxbow islands of the Caloosahatchee River for a two-hour guided instructional tour. Be prepared to experience nature at its best. The tour is perfect for all ages and abilities. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All kayaking equipment is provided. Bring your own drink, sunscreen, binoculars, clothing and shoes that can get wet.

Baby Animals Preschool Program

What do joeys, goslings, tadpoles, and caterpillars have in common? They are the names of animal babies. Today for preschool we will learn the names of animal babies, play games, sing songs and make a craft to learn about animal babies. Going Coastal : Youth 4H Invertebrate Investigations

Have you ever wondered how many eyes a horseshoe crab has? Whether a sponge is a plant or animal? How long a sea turtle can hold its breath? Learn the answers to these questions and more as we virtually explore waters of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico in a laboratory setting. *On a trial basis, Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center will be open from 9am-4pm on Wednesdays (February, March, April 2013) in addition to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Lekatchka Archery

THE LEKATCHKA ARCHERY CLUB AND NOKIDO JU-JITSU HAVE PARTNERED UP TO HOST A FUN DAY OF ARCHERY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. ARCHERY IS AN ANCIENT SAMURAI WEAPON AS WELL AS AN OLYMPIC SPORT. THE ARCHERY CLUB HAS SO GENEROUSLY OFFERED TO TEACH OUR STUDENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS THE ART OF ARCHERY. THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT FOR THE DAY FOR A $5.00 FEE PER PERSON. THE CLUB WILL ALSO PROVIDE LUNCH FOR AN ADDITIONAL $2.00 PER PERSON. ALL THE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO NOKIDO JU-JITSU COMPETITOR FUND.
